
This recipe is one of the most simple meals I make regularly. The tofu, with its chicken nugget-like texture, is a blank canvas for your favorite vegan sauce. So, be creative and enjoy!
Prep Time: 6 mins ~ Cook Time: 14 mins ~ Total Time: 20 minutes ~ Servings: 3
Ingredients:
1 pound organic tofu
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 tbsp 21 seasonings salute (Trader Joe’s Brand)
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Directions:
Preheat the air fryer to 390 on “air crisp” and set a timer for 12 minutes, or preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Remove tofu from packaging and place on a cutting board.
Cut tofu into squares, triangles, or whatever shape you like best.
Prepare the shake mix by mixing all dry ingredients together in a large bowl or plastic bag.
Add the cut tofu and shake well to coat the tofu for approximately 60-90 seconds.
Once all pieces are evenly coated, place in the air fryer or on a baking sheet.
Cook for 12-14 minutes in the air fryer and 20-25 minutes in the oven. Flip tofu over halfway through the time.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool, and enjoy!
